[Anglais] Dojos 3ème édition

Dojos training

Most of the samourais of the Empire train in dojos, with some senseis. Some train by themselves on the roads, and some by being an apprentice. A few of them train in some of the most famous dojos in the Empire, where their techniques and styles are differents of the smaller dojos.
Here come the rules of the dojos adapted at the third edition, all are granted advantages. The original rules and dojos backgrounds can be found in the books of the second edition. All dojos listed here came from official books and have been adapted by myself. If AEG have a problem with, please let me know.

Training in a great dojo
Cost : 1 CP
Rules : you have been trained in a famous dojo of the Empire. You earn one rank in the skill "Know the school : your own school." and the disadvantage " obligation level 1 : your dojo". You also raise your glory ranks by 5 boxes for peoples of the same dojo as you to recognise you, and can more likely count on their helps. All members of a named famous Dojo earn this advantage for free.

Throwed out
Cost : 1 CP as a disadvantage.
Rules : you have been trained in a famous dojo of the Empire. You earn one rank in the skill "Know the school : your own school." But you have been throwed out of it for some reasons, you can still train in your school but the members of your own dojos will always scorn you. Your glory is considered 5 boxes higher and infamy for members of your previous dojo.

Crab clan Dojos :

Training at Sunda Mizu (Dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Hida berserker and Hida Bushi.
Rules : You earn a free raise when using the deceit (intimidation) skill on Shadowland creatures and lost. You add your insight ranks to hunting and damage rolls against Shadowlands creatures and losts.

Training at Daishiki's anvil (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Hida Bushi, Hiruma scout, Kaiu engineer and Yasuki Taskmaster.
Rules : As long you choose a school from this dojo, the advantage "multiple school" only cost you 3 experience points less. You earn "know the school" for each of the schools of this dojo.

Training at Razor's edge dojo (dojo)
Cost : 4 CP
Schools : Hida berserker.
Rules : You earn a free raise for your deceit (intimidation) rolls. You increase your intuition based rolls TN by 5 and you can ignore wounds for earth X 4 instead of X 3 with your berserker school technique.

Training at first strike dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Hida berserker and all Hiruma schools outside of the Ancestral Hiruma shool.
Rules : You earn a free raise for social interactions with peoples having more than 2 ranks in lore : shadowland. You add half (rounded up) of your stealth skill to your attack rolls, and all of it to the damage rolls against shadowland nonhuman creatures.

Training at far-runner dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Hiruma schools outside of the Ancestral Hiruma shool.
Rules : you earn school rank free raises for etiquette rolls when you are trying to avoid "faux pas", increase his water rank by his earth rank for race.

Training at the Kuni wasters (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : any Kuni schools.
Rules : reduce the TN increasing for casting spells in corrupted regions by 5.

The Hiruma scout can train themselves at the Shiro Shinjo dojo.

Crane clan dojos :

Training at Kyuden Doji (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Doji courtier, Doji house guard, Doji magistrate
Rules : you roll an additionnal dice for perception rolls, and earn a free raise for social interactions if a NPC you have as your "ally" (see advantage allies p 106) is present with you.

Training at Kakita academy (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Kakita bushi, Kenshinzen and Hoturi's blade.
Rules : roll an additionnal dice for social rolls with bushi who have a lesser glory and an additionnal one for bushi who have a iaijutsu skill and are of a lesser insight rank than you.

Training at Kosan Shiro (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Daidoji bushi, Doji Magistrate and Tsume pikemen.
Rules : you can add 3 to your initiative rolls.

Training at Shadow's mountain dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Daidoji schools.
Rules : earn a free raise for attacks rolls for the first round of fight if the opponent is unaware of the attack.

Training at Asahina war school (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Asahina shugenja.
Rules : you start with battle (battle lore) as an additionnal school starting skills.

Training at Morning sun temple (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Asahina schools.
Rules : Rules : a free raise for one awareness based roll per day. Shugenja : Also gain a free raise for air spells, and gain the Disadvantage Driven (Pacifist) for no character points.

Training at Tsangusuri Daigaku school (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Asahina shugenja.
Rules : add 2 to your rolls to create tsangusuri. Earn a free raise for etiquette rolls.

Training at Iron crane dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all the Daidoji schools.
Rules : choose a bugei or high skill among your starting skills, increase your rank in it by 1. You add your insight rank to your deceit (intimidation) rolls.

Training at Katogama dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Doji magistrate, Doji courtier, Kakita bushi.
Rules : a free raise for courtier (manipulation) and courtier (political manoeuvring) when the target is a Crane. You earn one rank in "know the school : a Crane clan school other than yours."

Training at Shizuka Toshi (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Doji courtier.
Rules : you add your insight ranks to your courtier rolls with other Doji family members. You have a 2 CP to create an ally (see allies advantage page 106) of any clan. You can increase this ally cost by spending other CP.

Trainng at blue chrysantheum dojo (dojo)
Cost : 4 CP
Schools : any Crane courtier or bushi school.
Rules : increase by 2 your lore : law or your investigation skill. You add your insight school rank to your investigation rolls.

Dragon clan dojos :

Training at Iron mountain dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Mirumoto bushi and Mirumoto house guard.
Rules : your status is considered 1 to 2 ranks higher when you are dealing with courtesy with clan shugenjas and monks. Add twice your school rank for tides of battle rolls.

Training at victory of the living sword (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Mirumoto swordmaster
Rules : the bushi choose one of his lore skills, and add his rank in this skill to all his iaijutsu and kenjutsu rolls. The bonus can't exceed the bushi's kenjutsu rank.

Training at open eye dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Kitsuki family schools.
Rules : the ND of deceit (lying) and etiquette (sincerity) attempts against you are increased by your insight rank. You add your insight rank to your perception during skirmishes.

Training at moutain's house dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Agasha shugenja school before they join the Phoenix, then Tamori and 7 fortunes monks.
Rules : cooperative rolls have their difficulty decreased by 5.

Training at heart of the Dragon dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Agasha shugenja school before they join the Phoenix, then Tamori. Dragonfly shugenja, order of the celestial wanderer monks and 7 fortunes monks.
Rules : earn a free raise for casting spells and kihos who create and enchance a weapon.

Training within the three orders (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : three orders tatooed man.
Rules : the order of Togashi (Ise-Zumi) : can once per day choose one of the following skill : courtier, investigation or etiquette. He earn 2 free raises for using this skill and increase the TN of the two others by 5.
The order of Hoshi (Tsurai-zumi) : add their void rank to courtier and etiquette rolls, increase by 10 the TN of their deceit (intimidation) rolls. Reduce by 5 the TN of meditation rolls.
The order of Hitomi (Kikage-zumi) : have void rank free raises for deceit (intimidation) rolls, can use deceit (intimidation) instead of courtier or etiquette but will irritate the others peoples. Can take one more raise than normal for hand to hand fighting.

Training at welcome mountain dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Agasha shugenja school before they join the Phoenix, then Tamori and 7 fortunes monks.
Rules : when making a roll without the good emphase, he can still make the roll if he had another emphase of the same skill by spending a void point.

Training at Kyuden Agasha (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Agasha schools. This dojo became a Phoenix one after the Agasha join the phoenix.
Rules : reduce all honor loss for magical experiment by 2. Can start with a multi-element spell instead of any of his other spells.

Lion clan dojos :

Training at the caste of the way of the sword (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Akodo bushi, Akodo tactician, Akodo sentinels.
Rules : you have a free raise for social interactions of members of bushi schools. Can add his insight rank to all battle rolls.

Training at Shiro Matsu (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Lion's pride, Matsu bushi, Matsu berserker, Matsu House guard, Matsu beastmaster.
Rules : with characters of a lesser statut than you, you can use deceit (intimidation) instead of courtier (but it's not really welcome, especially if they have more glory than you because of your reputation as a bully). You ignore the - 5 penalty to your determination roll in mass battle when the opposing army at the advantage this battle turn.

Training at Shiro no Yojin (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Ikoma Tactician, Ikoma War herald, Matsu berserker and Matsu bushi.
Rules : you add 5 damage to your first damage roll of the fight.

Training at honor's sacrifice dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Ikoma family schools.
Rules : You earn your honor rank minus the highest honor rank among the peoples conversing with you free raises for social rolls.

Training at open hand dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Ikoma courtier and bards.
Rules : you have a free raise for all your awareness and intelligence based contested rolls against a bushi who have less than 4 ranks in one of the following skills : courtier or etiquette. You have the same bonus against shugenja and courtier who have less than 4 ranks in two bugei skills.

Training at golden spider dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Kitsu family schools.
Rules : your starting skills are increased by battle (lore) and defense.

Training at Bishamon seido (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : shugenja Kitsu, Lion's pride.
Rules : once per fight you can add your strenght to one of your attack rolls.

Training in the Kitsu Tombs (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Kitsu family schools.
Rules : 2 free raises for social interactions with characters who have a advantage or disadvantage affected by the ancestral guidance technique (page 130).

Mantis clan dojos :

Training at Dojo Raiden (dojo)
Cost : 4 CP
Schools : Yoritomo bushi.
Rules : you earn allies (influence 1/devotion 2) : member of the Dojo Raiden. You have also a free raise for all rolls one of the following skills : commerce, craft : weaponsmithing or craft : sailing.

Training at great song dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Mantis clan schools.
Rules : you roll and keep an additionnal dice for your courtier, etiquette and all arts that imply your voice.

Training at Goraiku dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Yoritomo bushi and Storm Legion members.
Rules : you have a free raise for social rolls with other Mantis characters, 2 with male of the Moshi and Hida family. Once per round you roll an additionnal dice for your damage rolls with a yumi.

Training at Amaterasu Seido (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Moshi Shugenja
Rules : you keep an additionnal dice for social interactions with characters who have more than 2 ranks in theology and have a free raise for spells that create climate effect.

Training at storm island (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : storm riders and shugenja of the Yoritomo family
Rules : you roll 4 additionnal dice for deceit (intimidation) when you are on a coastal zone, and are considered to have deceit (intimidation) at 1 in such situation if they don't have it already. One free raise if your spell affect the sea.

Minor clans dojos :

Training at Yoake fusheru dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Tortoise clan bushi and Miharu Seppun
Rules : you can choose two low skills, they will not create honor loss when used in most cases.

Training at Kitsume Mori (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Kitsune shugenja and true ronin shugenja.
Rules : one free raise for social rolls with animals and animals spirits. One rank in hunting and animal handling.

Training at the venom temple
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Chuda shugenja.
Rules : increase your spellcraft : maho by 1 for all purpose implying a maho spell.

Phoenix clan dojos :

Training at Kyuden Agasha (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Agasha schools. This dojo was a dragon one before the Agasha join the phoenix.
Rules : reduce all honor loss for magical experiment by 2. Can start with a multi-element spell instead of any of his other spells.

Training at Eternal phoenix dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Shiba bushi and Shiba yojimbo.
Rules : you gain a free raise with interacting with shugenja, 2 with Phoenix clan shugenja. At the start of a round, you can spend a void point to trade your initiative with one allied shugenja if he agree to it. This action is done before the Tides of battle roll.

Training at Dai-Chikai dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Shiba Yojimbo.
Rules : One in your life, you can choose somebody you will protect. Your target and yourself gain karmic tie level 3 (page 109)

Training at Gisei Toshi (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Isawa schools and Elemental guard.
Rules : you have insight rank free raises for spellcraft (spell research) rolls.

Scorpion clan dojos :

Training at honor's lesson dojo (dojo)
Cost : 3 CP
Schools : Bayushi bushi, Bayushi saboter, Bayushi house guard.
Rules : one free raise for deceit (lying) and etiquette (sincerity) rolls with other bushis character. If his TN to be hit his reduced for any reason to only his armor bonus, his TN is increased by his perception (this doesn't apply to a duel).

Training at the dojo of lies (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Bayushi courtier.
Rules : choose one awareness based skill, you will roll one additionnal die for it. One free raise for the use of emphases of the courtier skill.

Training at brother's gift dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Shosuro shinobi
Rules : you add your school rank to all your rolls against fear and deceit (intimidation) rolls. You add your insight rank to all contested rolls where your opponent use his perception.

Training at red crane dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Bayushi bushi and Bayushi saboter.
Rules : if your opponent fails an awareness based contested roll, the TN of all next awareness rolls from this opponent are increased by 10 for the next hour. You earn a free raise for all awareness based rolls against this opponent for the next day.

Training at hidden moon dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Shosuro shinobi and Shosuro tejina shugenja.
Rules : one free raise for deceit (lying) and etiquette (sincerity) if the opponent have more statut than you. If an opponent miss you after using 3 or more raises you earn a free raise to use during your next turn on any rolls against this opponent.

Training at bitter lies dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Dark sword of bitters lies and Bayushi bushi.
Rules : the TN of your and your opponents' courtier and etiquette rolls is increased by 10 for those who know the reputation of your dojo. You have 2 free raises for all your deceit (intimidation) rolls.

Training at thunder dagger dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Bayushi bushi and Shosuro shinobi.
Rules : you can add twice your school rank to your initiative or tides of battle rolls, but if you do so your reduce all your damage rolls by your school rank until the end of the fight. Can be use once per fight.

Training at Butei academy (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Shosuro actor.
Rules : you can add twice your school rank to your deceit (lying), etiquette (sincerity) and acting rolls.

Training at first breath dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all Scorpion non-advanced schools expect Yogo shugenja. Only members of the Soshi family.
Rules : You can sacrifice two of your starting skills for any non bugei skills rank 3 with one emphase. It can't be one of the sacrified skills.

Training at whispered secret dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Yogo kuroiban and Yogo shugenja.
Rules : you add your insight rank to create, cast or destroy glyphes and to the damage they deal. You add your insight rank to the TN to destroy your glyphes or to resist to their effects.

Training at the Yogo towers
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Yogo shugenja.
Rules : you gain insight rank free raises per day for your perception and perception-based rolls. You earn the notice emphase of the investigation skill if you pay for at least one rank of investigation at the character creation.

Training with the Kuroibans (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : any scorpion shugenja school. Need the approval and support of the Kuroiban to have such a training.
Rules : add 4 to all your spellcraft : maho, counterspells attempt against maho spells and lore : maho rolls.

Training at close eye dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Soshi shugenja.
Rules : you gain 2 free raises for your deceit (lying) and etiquette (sincerity) rolls to hide a secret. Increase the TN of all attempt to read your mind by 5.

Unicorn clan dojos :

Training at Utaku palace (dojo) (this is not an adaptation)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Utaku battle-maiden.
Rules : you can add your insight rank to your damage with a lance. You add the polearm skill to your starting skills.

Training at Shiro Shinjo dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Moto bushi, Shinjo bushi, Shinjo scout and Hiruma scout.
Rules : you can use horse archery and yomanri emphase of kyujutsu with another emphase of the same skill.

Training with Rojin's striders (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Shinjo scout.
Rules : you earn a free raise for all hunting roll, and a second free raise if you use any emphase of hunting.

Training at the assembled wind dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Iuchi shugenja.
Rules : you earn a free raise to all your attempts to resist to fear, intimidation or any attempt to make you change your mind.

Training at honorable guard dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Horiuchi shugenja and Moto Shugenja.
Rules : you roll an adittionnal die for all your hunting rolls in Shinomen, and also all rolls related about this forest and her inhabitants. You add Naga lore (Shinomen) to your starting skills.

Training at the dojo of the center (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Khol raider, Moto bushi, Shinjo bushi, Shinjo House Guard and Moto raider.
Rules : when using any weapon of the size of a sword (katana, ninja-to, scimitar, wakizashi, ...) you add your school rank to your damage.

Training at the dojo of the left (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Jungha defender, master of the horsebowmen, Moto bushi, Shinjo bushi, Shinjo house guard, Moto raider and Shinjo scout.
Rules : you gain a free raise for your social interactions with other Unicorns. You add a rank to the defense skill as a starting skill.

Training at calm heart dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Ide family schools.
Rules : Once per day you can reroll a failed etiquette roll. You roll an additionnal die for etiquette rolls with members of a great clan of your choice.

Training at lord of the death dojo (dojo)
Cost :
Schools : Moto shugenja.
Rules : you start with deceit (intimidation). You add your school rank to your deceit (intimidation) rolls and you have 2 free raises for contested etiquette rolls.

je vais finir les dojos se trouvant dans ma liste d'avantages et je voulais savoir si il y avait des dojos dont on connait les noms et qui n'ont pas de regles que vous voudriez voir ?

Training at the temple to Osano-wo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : all ronin shugenja schools and Osano-wo monks.
Rules : you gain the emphasis : (fortunes) of theology if you have the theology skill. When you are hit during a fight, it doesn't prevent you to do the tides of battle rolls. You add 3 to your tides of battle rolls for each strike you have suffered during this fight.

Training at mountain's song monastery (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : any monk order.
Rules : when you are using a void point to increase your number of rolled and kept dice (outside of a fight or any attempt to deceive or lie to someby) you add your higher ring rank to the roll.

Ronin dojos :

Training at tree's leaves dojo (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : forest killers.
Rules : add your stealth rank to your initiative rolls.

Dojos of the ennemies of the Empire :

Training with the cult of the Red moon (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : red moon maho-tsukai
Rules : one free raise for all spellcraft : maho and lore : maho rolls.

Training with a Kolat sect (dojo)
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : any. You can have another dojo training as long it's not another Kolat sect.
Rules : - Steel sect : one free raise to perception rolls to avoid ambushes for each Steel kolat within 9 feet.
- Silk sect : add their awareness to all courtier rolls.
- Chrysantheum sect : a free raise for social rolls in the Imperial city, the winter cour, or peoples living most of their year in the Imperial city.
- Jade sect : the TN of all maho and shinobi spells (Tejina, nothing) targeting you is increased by 10.
- Koku sect : two free raises for underworld rolls.
- Lotus sect : you earn a 5 points insight bonus when you have at least one rank in the Kolat assassin school.
- Could sect : you start with precise memory (page 111).
- Dream sect : you start with anatomy (torture) and your insight rank to anatomy (torture) rolls.
- Roc sect : start with a gaijin langage and have a free raise for social interactions with Gaijins.
- Tiger sect : gain insight rank free raises for contested social rolls against other kolats.

Training at the house of Goju
Cost : 2 CP
Schools : Goju ninja.
Rules : you have a 50 % chance of having a cryptic answer of the Shadow dragon if you ask him.
