On the RPG front, we've finalized the schedule for the 3 books following Way of the Thief (releasing this december) currently slated for release in 2005.

Hidden Emperor
In the style of Time of the Void, this volume of past glories recounts the kidnapping of Toturi I, the War Agaisnt the Darkness, and the Battle of Oblivion's Gate. This book includes story, NPC statistics, and new mechanics to represent the people and events of this era.

Way of the Emperor
In the style of the original Way of the Clans sourcebooks, Way of the Emperor describes the history, customs, and techniques of the Imperial Families. from the disciplined ranks of the Imperial Legions to the wily manipulators to the Otomo to the hallowed halls of Toturi himself, this book will describe why it is so damned cool to work for the Emperor.

Lotus Edition
Lotus Edition updates the storyline and sets up adventure hooks through the next two years of the Lotus Story Arc, recounts the Gold and Diamond story arcs, updating the setting to the current timeline and setting up for future events in the Enlightenment arc.

Voilà, pas d'info sur une éventuelle 3e édition ce qui ne veux pas dire qu'elle ne sera pas là.

Way of the Emperor me paraît particulièrement aller dans le bon sens (comme les Way Of... sniff). Juste un peu bizarre de cadrer cela sur Toturi plutôt que sur les Hanteï mais bon rien de très dramatique à priori.

Pour les deux autres suppléments, je ne compte pas suivre la storyline après le 2nd day of thunder mais bon, c'est bien de voir qu'il s'agit de suppléments de background.

De bonnes nouvelles quoi...

Je suis curieux de voir ce que donnera le book Lotus, ce sera la 1ère fois que le background JdR sera en adéquation avec celui du JCC. Et donc les bases données ne seront pas (trop) le résultat de tournois... un peu comme le background pré-coup d'Etat !

j'ai peur du way of the thief ...

et moi du way of the emperor dans lequel je crains à la fois beaucoup de redites et un tas "d'innovations" qui prises isolèment seront certainement intéressantes mais formeront ensemble un mélange aussi douteux à mon palais que les derniers suppléments en date que j'ai acheté ou lu (les Secrets of Dragon, Crab, Crane et Shadowlands ainsi que Bloodspeakers pour ne pas les nommer)

enfin, on verra bien, mieux vaut des craintes qui ne se concrétisent pas que des espoirs déçus

Etant moi aussi Bounty Hunter je me propose un petit correctif sur le post originel qui n'est malheureusement pas exact...

La feuille de chou dont tu tires tes infos est malheureusement bien a la bourre (AEG est a la rue en ce moment...) et aurai du nous parvenir en aout.. ce qui veut dire que les infos qu'elle referme sont datées de Juillet 2004 au mieux... (cf classement BH a l'interieur...)

J'apporterai donc plus de credit a l'annonce faite par les concepteurs du jdr lors de la gencon 2004 (fin aout 2004...) sur la sortie des 3 bouquins en 2005 dont la 3eme edition !

a noter aussi que way of daimyo et way of thief (way of yakusa ??) sont deja dans le planning 2004 donc ne compte pas pour le planning 2005 !
