En direct de la ML US et transité sur la ML française par Le Yan, un petit post sur le nouveau supplément 2004:
> Hello, sports fans!
>
> Well, I honestly did not expect the reaction I got to my last email
> regarding the changes to this year's schedule. I figured you guys
would
> discuss it somewhat, yes, but that was a bit more than I had
anticipated.
> Before I reveal what the new book on the schedule is going to be, I'd
like
> to address some of the common suggestions we saw in that discussion:
>
> Secrets of the Minor Clans - I'll be honest with you, guys... no one
loves
> the minor clans more than I do. I have been Wasp Clan fanatic #1
since
> before Way of the Dragon ever graced a bookshelf. Still, even given
that, I
> think a book like this would be stretching it. We've expanded all
the
minor
> clan schools to a full 5 techniques and discussed them at least
briefly
in
> the books released since Rokugan. The Badger and Dragonfly clans are
> virtually extinct. The Falcon were absorbed into the Crab, the Wasp
and
> Centipede into the Mantis. What does that leave? The Hare, the
Tortoise,
> the Sparrow, the Ox, and the Monkey. Honestly, as much as I would
> looooooove to do this book, I don't see that it is necessary at this
time.
>
> Secrets of the Imperials - A lot of the concepts that would be
explored
in
> this book will be touched on in Way of the Daimyo.
>
> Way of the Courtier - This, too, will be dealt with in Way of the
Daimyo.
> You can't have an examination of court and governance without
courtiers
and
> Imperials, after all.
>
> [Insert Randomly Named Economics Book Here] - It is my sincere hope
that
we
> can address a lot of economic concerns in Way of the Yakuza (still a
> tentative title).
>
> Secrets of the Ronin - I just don't see a lot of material appropriate
for
a
> book of this nature. The same goes, I'm afraid, for Secrets of the
Nezumi.
> Both these concepts were rather thoroughly explored in Way of the
Wolf
and
> Way of the Ratling.
>
> So what does that leave?
>
> This was promised a very long time ago and just never saw the light
of
day.
> Given the huge popularity of the events that have been run at the
past
few
> GenCons and other large conventions, it was decided that there was
indeed
a
> market (and enthusiasm) for a Legend of the Five Rings Live Action
> Role-Playing Handbook. I can't discuss the outline yet, but sufficed
to
say
> that it addresses every element that we've had to take into
consideration
> when the team (headed up by Kim Hosmer) has planned the big LARPs at
> conventions the past few years.
>
> So there you have it. This information has not, to my knowledge,
been
> released anywhere else, so you guys are the first. We're just
wrapping up
> work on the Way of the Open Hand right now, and will be starting the
LARP
> book very soon, so please feel free to post your comments here.
Perhaps
we
> can address them in the book!
>
> Shawn Carman
> L5R Story Team
Bayushi Kurumada
Déçu mais alors, déçu...
